Buffy Summers was born in 1981, she grew up in LA and became the 'Cordelia' of her high school, Hemery High School. She was head Cheerleader and elected the Hemery equivalent of the May Queen. Her life, she felt, was going fine until she met her first watcher, Merrick. It was from her first watcher that Buffy learned her fate as the 'chosen one'. Merrick soon died and Buffy was left to burn down the High School gym in order to rid Hemery of its growing vampire population. After the incineration of the school gym, Buffy's mother, Joyce Summers, felt it best to move town and and start a new life elsewhere, Sunnydale was that elsewhere. Buffy soon made friends in Sunnydale with Xander Lavelle Harris a geeky yet surprisingly brave, boy and Willow Rosenberg a geeky and strangely brave, girl. Willow later found out she had magical talents and now spends a lot of her non-studying time practicing Wicca.

Sunnydale High (now tragically burned down) sits on a Hell Mouth, the center for all mystical energy, and used to be home to Buffy and her friend. It was in Sunnydale High that Buffy met her new watcher Giles and her later temporary watcher Wesley. Buffy also met a few other characters in Sunnydale High including; Oz, a very cool guitar player for 'Dingoes Ate My Baby' and ex-boyfriend to Willow, and Cordelia, the most popular girl in school and ex-girlfriend to Xander. Cordelia now lives in LA working of Angel with his private, paranormal investigation agency.

It was also in her first few days in Sunnydale that Buffy met Angel, the vampire with a soul. Angel soon became her 'partner in crime' and after a few months the inevitable happened, Buffy fell madly in love with him. Angel, formally known as Angelus, has had a very amazing life (or rather afterlife) and was originally the worst vampire around for 150 years, praying on human fear and taking pleaser in others' misery and distress. This was up until he prayed on a gypsy girl and ended up being cursed with a soul, whereby he would live with this soul until he experienced one true moment of happiness. This happened with Buffy and for a short period he became Angelus again and took pleasure in torturing Buffy. Angelus decided he was going to be the ultimate vampire and decided to steel the Demon of Acathla in it's stone form and wake it up to enable it to end the world. For this Buffy sent him to Hell, literally.

Buffy had died earlier at the hands of 'The Master' but was revived by her friends. Due to the rule, "As one Slayer dies, another is chosen" a new Slayer was called upon named Kendra.

Kendra appears to come from a Caribbean Island although she has never said exactly where it is she came from. Kendra initially came to Sunnydale when Spike found the 'du Lac manuscript' and the key to deciphering it, and returned to Sunnydale when Angel (turned Angelus) stole the Demon of Acathla, to provide Buffy with a helpful sword. It was on this second trip that she was killed by Drusilla and so another Slayer was called forward, Faith. Faith is a very controversial Slayer as her fighting techniques and personality are somewhat... iffy. When Faith initially arrived she was met by Buffy and the 'Scooby Gang' and taken under their wing, even spending Christmas with Buffy and her mother. But Faith's stay ended in tragedy as, when looking for the Mayor she accidentally killed and innocent man. This sent her crazy and she went on a rampage killing most things in sight, Buffy ended her reign and put her in a coma.

After graduation, the Mayor's ascension and the burning down of the school, Buffy was accepted at U.C Sunnydale. There she shares a room with her friend Willow and spends her time studying and fighting Vampires/Demons.

It was at Collage that she met her new boyfriend and former member of military elite Riley. Riley worked for an underground government project to keep checks on the Demonic activity around Sunnydale. It turned out however that the government initiative wasn't all it was cracked up to be and was run by a woman named Dr. Walsh, it was Dr. Walsh who decided to make an ultimate fighting machine out of Demonic parts, she called him Adam. Needless to say that Adam was 'nasty' (in nice words) and killed Dr. Walsh when he first woke up. Adam then broke free and had to be hunted down. Adam had a plan that he was going to create a race of mutated monsters like himself, but was stopped by Buffy in the initiative's headquarters. The Initiative was closed down and Riley was given an honorable discharge.

Willow is very good at a lot of things including computers and 'Hacking' but is also now becoming especially good at witchcraft. When we first saw Willow she had an unbelievable crush on her best friend Xander, Xander however had a crush on Buffy and so never really noticed Willow in that way. Later Willow met Oz. Oz is considered as very cool due to his very laid back attitude and the fact that he plays guitar in a band, but Oz has a dark secret, he is also a Werewolf. Oz and Willow end up getting together and fall greatly in love with each other, but there relationship is ended by Oz leaving Sunnydale to investigate his darker side and gain control of it. Willow is heartbroken but ends up meeting her other love, Tara. Tara (female) is also into witchcraft and so they spend most of there free time together practicing spells and fighting evil alongside Buffy.

Xander isn't really much good at most things, apart from his job as a builder, but his heart is in the right place and he has proved himself quite useful the the 'Scooby Gang'. Xander's first love was with Cordelia and their love/hate relationship. Sadly this relationship ended when he and Willow had a sort of affair and Cordelia found out. Just after their breakup Cordelia met Anya who turned out to be a Demon who grants women's revenge on their ex-lovers. Anya's spells backfired though which ended up on her being mortal. It was in her mortal state that Xander and herself got together and are currently in a relationship.

Spike is a vampire, and devotes all his time to the destruction of Buffy. He was sired (made a vampire) by Drusilla, who was sired by Angelus, and spent over a hundred years alongside Angelus, Drusilla and Darla (who sired Angelus). He then came to Sunnydale along with Drusilla to find and kill the slayer, but when he arrived all the vampires in Sunnydale were controlled by the 'Anointed One', a small boy who had been recruited by 'The Master'. After he killed the 'Anointed one' he thought up many plans to kill Buffy but continuously failed. When Angel had turned back into Angelus and plotted to end the world it was Spike who helped Buffy prevent it, saying "I like this world, hundreds of people all walking around like little meals on legs." After Buffy sent Angel to Hell Spike left with Drusilla but returned to Sunnydale when Drusilla was caught cheating on him with a Chaos Demon. When he returned he was captured by the initiative and had a chip inserted into his head meaning that he couldn't harm any living creature. He now spends his time beating up Demons purely for the fun of it.

Angel returned from Hell and had his soul back, due to Willow and another curse. He returned in a mad demonic state due to his torture in Hell and after some serious rehab by Buffy he decided it was a good idea to leave Sunnydale to prevent temptation between him and his true love, Buffy. He went to Los Angeles and opened up a private detective agency, intent helping people with Demon problems. He even got his own television series called Angel.
